The Author

 I'm Janelle Gray, author of Echoes of the Struggle and Echoes of the Struggle Tour Guide. I wrote this story after my experience on the Southern Methodist University Civil Rights Pilgrimage.  It became important to me to show what happens when we listen to the past as well as what happens when we ignore it.
